The chair’s backing has to have a certain angle. He explored this fact, and asked himself, what if every part of the chair followed the angle of its back? Since the back and seat of the chair move further forward than the legs, it is safe to sit even though the chair leans to one side.

What is the feature of Korean art? Through this cabinet project, he was led to reflect upon what Korean art is. He believes the feature of Korean art can be defined as “the beauty of line.” The line is sometimes organic and sometimes geometric.

The cabinet can be easily disassembled because each part can be taken off (they are connected by hidden T-nuts and screws).

In this project, his main interest is how the stools are stacked, and how they can stack beautifully while keeping its complex design. Through its flower-shaped design, one stool can be conveniently stacked on top of another.

First, he imagined a table that is heavy and thick. Then, he hollowed out the inside, in order to create a thin outline. Even though it has simple geometric shapes, it creates a unique shape because each part of the table overlaps the other part. Through this idea process, the magnificent piece was created

Focusing on making furniture that promotes social engagement

Many sets of the same length of three pieces of wood support each other so that they can build up continuously. They can coexist together because every single piece supports each other, forming a big geometric shape.

Korea has toxic competition in entrance examinations. This piece represents Korea's obsession for education that can be stressful for students. The bent wood creates tension, and this indicates the stress of students.

A kind of instruction set for performing music. It has a long wooden strip around a group of rectangular wooden blocks. It is inspired by an instrumental song that consists of three different instruments. The big, horizontal wooden blocks represent the violin, and small square-shaped boxes represent the piano. The wooden strip represents the cello. As the music played, he coils the wooden strip on the wooden blocks.

Wood is a material loved by many people because of its beautiful wood grain. A long rectangle shape of the wooden board is cut along its grain, and the base of the object, made of concrete, holds the board in place. He selected a wooden board that has waves and beautiful curves. After the cutting process, it then consisted of terraced arrangement of pieces.

The movement reveals itself as a whirlwind shape. An illusion of movement is produced from a lot of small rectangular-shaped pieces of wood, and all the small pieces of wood are of the same size.

Inspired by the Hangeul characters. This chair is assembled in 4 pieces of the Korean alphabet ‘ㄱ’ and ‘ㄴ’ that are responsible for the main shape and the structure of the chair. The parts that are made of walnut reveal the shapes of the Hangeul characters of the 4 pieces, and the rest of the parts are made of maple connecting the 4 pieces.

This piece is a metal sculpture that is composed of many tiny pieces of recycled metal coiling around a piece of wood through welding. In this project, even though two different materials indicate a conflict between two civilizations, the simplicity of the wood and the twistedness of the metal are beautifully harmonized
